About Butyl Rubber:

The extremely waterproof tape is also known as foil tape. These tapes contain Butyl Rubber, which is an extruded, constant tack, pressure-sensitive sealant with high adhesive tack. They can provide an immediate seal against water, air, or dust and remain permanently soft. They are ideal for sealing holes and joints such as those on bolt vents and round ducts in HVAC systems, air conditioning enclosures, roof and cladding systems, caravans and panels, car windows and taillights, as well as glass and metal.
