Let it air out in a dry place for 24–48 hours (avoid direct sun for extended periods).
Lightly spray with fabric spray or sprinkle a thin layer of baking soda; let sit for 2–3 hours and vacuum off.
The cover can be washed according to the care label if possible; let it dry completely and fluff the filling with your hands.
